1/99-2/00: Responsibilities include building a network of contacts in order to receive referrals
from felony offenders who have a history of drug or alcohol abuse and who are interested in
treatment. These contacts are found through the Department of Corrections, Private Attorneys
and Public Defenders. After receiving referrals, an assessment is done on the offender, while
incarcerated, to determine if they would be appropriate for the program. Finally, if offender was
appropriate from a substance abuse, mental health, and criminal perspective, that offender would
be assisted by the assessment counselor to receive the Turning Point Bridge program as part of
their sentence for their current offense.

Responsibilities include completing assessments of juveniles referred to TASC by The

services, or no treatment at all. Also responsible for weekly therapy sessions if drug abuse
treatment was recommended. Weekly and monthly monitoring reports (case mgt.) are required
for all juveniles enrolled in the TASC program.
